Wet March Ahead:Rains From Kashmir To Karachi

The atmospheric conditions are rapidly fluctuating with time. After a long time,we might experience a series of super western depressions, which can produce unstable and unusual rain spells all over the Pakistan during Ramadan.

First countrywide western disturbance is expected to hit Pakistan by next weekend (17/18th March to 20 March), giving much awaited drenching rains from Kashmir up to Karachi. Around 70-80% of Pakistan is expected to witness some rains of varying intensity.

What makes it so intense and countrywide?
Westerly jet is expected to move southwards, bringing western disturbances from gulf countries to Arabian sea first from where these weather systems gets immense moisture.
In case,if these atmospheric conditions persist, get ready to witness unusual drenching weather (heavy rain/Thunderstorms associated with dust storms of 70-80knots and intense hailstorms) from Kashmir to Karachi .

Date : 13-03-23. Time 10Pm
Update #2 We named this western disturbance as 'ANGEL' as it is going to produce much needed rains in >80% parts of Pakistan including Sindh region (which rarely receives rains from Western disturbance during March).

'ANGEL' is going to effect Pakistan from Wednesday (14 March) and series of other angels are expected to move in same pattern producing countrywide rain spells during Ramadan up to March end.

SINDH WEATHER:- Scattered to widespread Thunderstorms(associated with dust storms and hailstorms/isolated heavy falls)  expected in Sindh (including Karachi and Hyderabad) from Thursday to  Sunday with occasional gaps.

Cloudy weather is expected elsewhere during the period associated with some precipitation.

Update#3    Western Disturbance 'Angel' Begins its journey towards Pakistan!!

WD is presently located over southern Iran and adjoining parts while its extending into the Arabian sea which you can see in form of cluster of heavy clouding over Arabian sea and southern Sindh. This dense clouding can even pour light drizzles in coastal parts/lower Sindh overnight. This system will get sufficient moisture to pour in almost 80-90% parts of Pakistan. This system will get fueled by intense pre monsoon heating.

In short, Heavy rain/Thunderstorms with loud thundering & hailstorms can't be ruled out for Sindh from 18 th March.

Everyone is requested to take precautions as there is risk of Flash flooding,Heavy hailstorm,Dust storms during such weather conditions.

Update # 04 (FINAL).  DATE 21/03/23
CURRENT WESTERN DISTURBANCE (ANGEL) IS AFFECTING ENTIRE SOUTH ASIA, IS EXPECTED TO BE COUPLED WITH ANOTHER WESTERN DISTURBANCE (ROMEO) FROM 23rd March

Weather Next 24 hours:
Mostly cloudy weather conditions expected in most parts of the Sindh (especially lower, southeastern and upper & western Sindhi). However,rain/thunderstorms are expected in western tips of the province and coastal parts as well.

Why not all over Sindh?
Angel has lost its power after pouring heavy rains & hailstorms all over the Sindh from last week. The upcoming WD (Romeo) is not in favor of Sindh. The reason why we named it Romeo is because it loves north the most, therefore going straight towards north.

Due to some remnants from Angel, localized developments can occur in Hyderabad,Mirpurkhas and Thatta regions during next 24 hours. Chances are up to 30%.
